Middle Peninsula Planning District Commission Receives Grant For Ramp Project

The Middle Peninsula Planning District Commission receives a $26,400 grant from Virginia’s Community Flood Preparedness fund. The money will go for design and permitting for the Carlton Road Boat Ramp project. A total of $7.8 million was awarded throughout the commonwealth in the first round of funding from the program established last year to assist communities in building resilience to the impacts of climate change, including floods, with targeted funding going to vulnerable and underserved communities.
