This is National Teen Driver Safety Week and the Virginia Department of Transportation is reminding teenage drivers to buckle up. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, more than two-thousand people were killed in 2019 in crashes that involved a teenage driver. Parents are also reminded to do their part by not depending on only a driver education class to teach your child how to drive. Set aside time to take your teen on practice driving sessions.
