Virginia receives a $24.7 million federal grant to increase student’s access to higher education and job training. The 7-year grant will allow the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia to ensure students do not miss out on millions in federal financial aid. State Council of Higher Education for Virginia Director Peter Blake says the first step to get financial assistance is to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid which can be found at studentaid.gov.
