Virginia Preparing To Administer COVID-19 Vaccine To Kids

Virginia’s Vaccination Coordinator Dr. Danny Avula says the Commonwealth’s children could be getting their first COVID-19 vaccine doses by Thanksgiving. He said the the Department of Health is already preparing for the vaccine rollout to those ages 5 to 11 as the FDA and Centers for Disease Control consider recommending the vaccine for that age group. Avula added that pediatricians will receive priority in administering the vaccine over mass vaccination centers.
