Virginia Redistricting Commission May Not Complete Their Work

The Virginia Redistricting Commission’s work grinds to a halt after the panel couldn’t come to terms on the maps to use for starting the boundary realignment. According to News 8 last Sunday was the deadline for completing its work and turning it over to the General Assembly but that deadline is now Thursday. The 16-member commission notified the state Supreme Court the full redistricting may not be completed. If that happens the court will hire 3 experts to create the boundaries.
