The Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources is warning drivers to be on the lookout for deer now that the days get shorter and temperatures get colder. Officials say to be aware that deer travel in groups so if you see one keep an eye out for more. And while you should slow down or stop to avoid hitting deer don’t swerve and risk hitting another vehicle. Call police or a conservation officer if you do hit a deer.
