The Abingdon Ruritan Club in Gloucester is holding an Americal Red Cross blood drive on Nov. 23 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The Gazette-Journal reports the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is expecting a severe flu season this year, and that could have a negative impact on the nation’s already-struggling blood supply.
