If you’re interested in applying for Mathews County School Board’s interim seat the deadline for submitting paperwork is Nov. 19 at 2:00 p.m. According to the Gazette-Journal the seat became available when Jeanice Sadler resigned. The board will hold a public hearing on Nov. 30 to review applications and is expected to make an appointment in December. That individual will serve through 2022 when a special election is held to fill Sadler’s remaining term.
