The Virginia Department of Health confirms a child died from Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children associated with COVID-19. This is the first death from MIS-C reported in Virginia. MIS-C was first reported in April 2020 by United Kingdom officials and Virginia has 111 cases to date The child was between 10 and 19 years old and resided in the Prince William Health District.
