The federal Institute of Museum and Library Services awards a $50,000 grant to Central Rappahannock Regional Library for the purchase of a vehicle to expand the “Library on the Go” initiative into Westmoreland County. It will regularly visit schools and community gathering places to offer residents the use of tablets, laptops, wireless printing, and Wifi. The library is one of 2 in Virginia to receive funding allocated from the American Rescue Plan.
