Democrats Want Court To Reject Republicans To Help Draw Redistricting Maps

Election Day is in the rearview mirror but front in center is the dispute over Virginia’s election district boundaries which are changing due to the 2020 Census. The Virginia Redistricting Commission couldn’t agree on the new maps so now it’s up to the State Supreme Court which will have a Democrat and Republican to aid with the map process. On Monday Senate Democrats asked the court to disqualify the 3 Republicans being considered due to conflicts of interest. No word on if the court will rule on that request.
