An overnight inspection on the Downing Bridge on Thursday will result in possible traffic delays. Traffic will be restricted to one lane on Route 360 over the Rappahannock River located between Essex and Richmond counties. Flaggers will direct traffic in the work zone. The imspection begins at 8:00 p.m. Last week the bridge was the scene of a crash when a pickup driver crossed into oncoming traffic hitting a car head-on killing the car’s driver.
