Expect delays crossing the Downing Bridge in the Tappahannock area Tuesday evening as crews finish a bridge maintenance project. Between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday Route 360 will be reduced to a single travel lane, with one-way, alternating traffic. Concrete repairs to the bridge deck and bridge joints will help protect the bridge structure from deterioration, and also provide a smoother ride. The work was originally scheduled last Thursday.
