The Essex County Museum And Historical Society has a new book entitled “The History Of Old Rappahannock County from 1656 to 1692”. Back then the county encompassed areas that make up present-day Essex and Richmond counties plus parts of 4 other counties. Ir was written by Thomas Hoskins Warner with illustrations by the late Sydney E. King. The book is available at the museum’s Rappahannock River Gift Shop or online at ecmhs.org
