Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office dispatcher and communications officer Heather Jenkins is the recipient of the Peninsula EMS Council Regional award for outstanding EMS Telecommunications Officer / Dispatcher for 2021. This area covers the Peninsula, Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck. Heather was also the regional nominee for the Governor’s EMS Award which recognizes the outstanding contributions of individuals, agencies and community organizations and businesses that provide or help support emergency medical care in Virginia.
