Mathews County’s fall roadside cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 13 starting at 8:00 a,m. with a rain date of Nov. 20. According to the Gazette-Journal the Mathews County Visitor and Information Center holds roadside cleanup events twice a year by inviting Adopt-a-Highway volunteers and community groups to work together to clean up county roads for the upcoming season. Groups will meet at the Visitor Center on Main Street to sign in and receive safety and route information and equipment.
