Expect delays crossing the Downing Bridge in the Tappahannock area this evening as crews finish a bridge maintenance project. Between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. on Friday Route 360 will be reduced to a single travel lane, with one-way, alternating traffic. Concrete repairs to the bridge deck and bridge joints were made to help protect the bridge structure from deterioration, and also provide a smoother ride.
