Kilmarnock’s RAL Art Center gallery windows are featuring the art work of Barbara Brecher and Linda LaVigne-Long. According to the Rappahannock Record Brecher is a fiber artist and graphic designer who works in felting, an ancient form of textile art that pre-dates weaving and spinning techniques. LaVigne-Long began her painting in the “realist genre,” and then moved into more abstract renderings. She says her artwork is an expression of what she is feeling about a subject.
