The River Counties Community Foundation is marking its 25th anniversary. According to the Southside Sentinel the foundation funded a new water system in Middlesex that will take fresh water from Urbanna to Deltaville. It also funded a childcare and reading program for children in Lancaster and Northumberland when schools were closed due to COVID-19. The foundation was started with a $25,000 gift from Roger and Jeanette Williams. Today its assets total more than $28 million.
