Report Finds Virginia Health Insurance Plan Prices Are Too High For Many Customers

A new study finds that Virginia health insurance premiums are still too high for many customers. According to the Virginia Mercury the study presented to the Joint Commission on Health Care found that the average cost of silver plans, increased by nearly 60% between 2016 and 2021. Bronze programs increased ny 37% while gold programs were up by 25%. During that same time enrollment in Virginia’s health care marketplace dropped by just over 20%.
