Gloucester VFS Asks Residents To Not Burn Anything Outdoors

The Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squaq is asking to public to not do any outdoor burning of any kind. Fire Prevention Officer Lt. Tony Villani tells the Gazette-Journal that high winds and dry conditions are leading to increased fire danger. He says they’ve had several calls where burning leaves or other outdoor fires have spread threatening homes and ohhter properties. The proper was to existingish ashes is to put them in a metal bucket then extinguish them away from any structures.
