Injunction Ordered On Virginia’s Games Of Skill Ban

Virginia’s ban on games of skill is suspended following a court ruling earlier this week. The electronic betting machines which were located in gas stations and convenience stores were outlawed in 2020 by the General Assembly. The injunction was the result of a lawsuit filed against Gov. Ralph Northam and Attorrney General Mark Herring by for NASCAR driver Hermie Sadler who owns a truck stop. It will remain in place until next May when a trial is scheduled to take place.
