Construction of a new apartment building in Kilmarnock is a step closer after the town’s planning commission recommends approving a rezoning application by the building’s developer. According to the Rappahannock Record the new building is proposed for Main St. across from the post office and it will have from 24 to 28 units with estimated rents from $1500 to $1600. A public hearing is set for Jan. 24 at the Town Council meeting.
