A 6-month-long Mathews County Department of Social Services investigation into fraud and forgery ends up with the arrest of a woman last Thursday. Police say Audrey Elaine Hudgins Mowrar also is charged with contributing to a minor and trespassing as well as two counts of breaking and entering. Investigators say money was withdrawn from the victim’s account and numerous credit card purchases were made without the victim’s knowledge. Mowrar is being held on a secured bond.
