Mathews County is looking for a new interim County Administrator as Sandy Wanner submits his resignation effective next Tuesday. According to the Gazette-Journal Wanner cited personal family issues for leaving the position he took following Mindy Conner’s departure in August. Wanner is with the firm assisting in the county’s search for a permanent administrator and will continue working for that company on less time-consuming projects. A new administrator is to be hired after the new board of supervisors is seated in January.
