More than 20 people spake at last week’s Mathews County School Board meeting about who should replace Jeanice Sadler whe resigned because she is moving out of the county. According to the Gazette-Journal 9 people are being considered for the interim appointment which runs until next November. At that time a permanent replacement will be elected to complete Sadler’s term. The board is to make its selection when it meets on Dec. 14.
