The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles announces that transportation company Schneider is the first truckload carrier to conduct a trial deployment of lifesaving technology developed through the Driver Alcohol Detection System for Safety Program. The trial deployment with Schneider will enable Virginia to advance the fight against drunk driving by generating hundreds of thousands of miles of real-world operational data and analyses needed to commercialize fully passive vehicle-integrated breath technology.
