The Virginia General Assembly’s information technology agency brings in an outside cybersecurity firs to help fight a ransomware attack that happened on Sunday. It’s affected the systems lawmakers use to draft and modify bills along with several websites including the Division of Legislative Services and the Division of Capitol Police. It’s not known how much money the cybercriminals are demanding to restore access to the systems.
