The Middlesex County School Board paid tribute to a pair of long-time members whose terms ended last year. According to the Southside Sentinel Dr. Richard Shores served for 22 years representing the Saluda District and Jim Goforth served 24 years in the Hartfield District. Both decided not to run for re-election. Dr. Shores attended the most Middlesex High School graduations of any board member while Goforth was recognized for his service on the Middlesex Foundation.
