Audubon Christmas Bird Count Comes In At 5,435

The numbers are in from last month’s Middle Peninsula Audubon Christmas Bird Count and according to the Gazette-Journal 5,435 birds were counted in the 15-mile diameter circle that covered parts of King and Queen, Middlesex and Gloucester counties. Close to 40 people participated finding 80 different species. The Count is in its 122nd year and takes place throughout the country over a 3-week period.
