Kilmarnock Apartment Project Rezoning Denied

The Kilmarnock Town Council held a public hearing on a rezoning application for 3 new apartment buildings on Main St. According to the Rappahannock Record several residents spoke against the project citing concerns over increased traffic, alteration over the town’s aesthetics and the proposed rent pricing. The developer says each building will have from 24 to 28 units with estimated rents from $1500 to $1600. The Town Council did not approve the rezoning.
