Middlesex County has a new committee to study the Sheriff’s Department’s needs for a new facility. According to the Southside Sentinel the committee is looking at renovating an existing 5,000 square foot building in Cooks Corner instead of building a new facility from scratch. The committee will visit other sheriff’s departments to see how they are laid out and to get ideas for bringing the sheriff’s office up to standards.
