Town of Montross officials are seeking designation as a historic district by the Virginia’s Department of Historic Resources. According to News on the Neck the proposed district would run through Montross from the Chandler’s Mill Pond to just beyond the eastern corporate limits of the town. Costs are to be paid from an emergency historical preservation fund created in 2018. Approval could be granted in June of September of this year.
