Northam Issues COVID-19 SOE

Governor Ralph Northam declared a state of emergency after new COVID-19 hospitalizations set a one-day record last Friday. Northam says the declaration gives hospitals more flexibility to quickly increase bed space and staff. Out-of-state-medical providers with a Virginia license are once again allowed to practice here. The orders are effective immediately and will remain in effect for 30 days. Northam issued the order at his final press conference as governor.
