Virginia’s Health Commissioner is stepping down. Dr. Norman Oliver announced his last day is Jan. 14. In a statement Oliver said it has been an honor to serve as commissioner and he thanked the thousands of Virginia Department of Health employees who labored day in and day out during the COVID-19 pandemic to keep the Commonwealth safe. Oliver’s successor will be named by Governor-elect Glenn Youngkin.
