Plaintiffs Seek To Drop VEC Lawsuit

The 5 plaintiffs suing the Virginia Employment Commission on unemployment claim delays are asking that their lawsuits be dismissed. According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch a motion was filed in federal court on Wednesday. The commission was sued last April and in November the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission found VEC was unprepared to handle the onslaught of claims due to COVID-19. VEC has until March 1 to file a response to the motion.
