Area school divisions are taking different approaches to Governor Glenn Youngkin’s opt-in mask mandate executive order. According to WTVR Westmoreland County is keeping the mask mandate in place while Richmond County is making masking optional. Northumberland County’s school bpard meets Thursday to discuss the issue while in Lancaster County universal masking stays in place until the Virginia Department of Education issues new guidance.
