Senate Considering Bill To Srop Ticket Quotas

Law enforcement agencies will be forbidden to set so-called “ticket quotas” under a bill under consideration in the Virginia Senate. According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch the Virginia Police Benevolent Association is backing the bill saying quotas are not an effective measure of an officer’s performance. The measure passed out of committee with no objections after some last minute changes were made. It now goes to the Senate floor.
