VCU Health Tappahannock Hospital is one of 5 hospitals in Virginia receiving top marks for nurse communication from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Each of the hospitals named in the department’s Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems Survey scored at least 84 percent of patients responding that “nurses always communicated well”. The survey is the first national, standardized, publicly reported survey of patients’ perspectives of hospital care.
