United Way of the Virginia Peninsula Gets Eviction Protection Funding

The United Way of the Virginia Peninsula is sharing in $2.9 million allocated across the commonwealth to help prevent evictions. The funding from the Virginia Eviction Reduction Pilot program supports the charity’s increased capacity to address evictions by strengthening the network of housing solutions through partnerships with schools and courts and by increasing the accessibility of services. The program not only helps prevent evictions but also provides services that divert evictions once the legal process has begun.
