The Urbanna Town Council postponed the public hearing on building a new pier at the end of Virginia Street. According to the Southside Sentinel the hearing that was supposed to be on Thursday hasn’t been reschedued. A permit for the pier was issued several years ago and expires this year after being extended several times. The cost for the pier is estimated at $50,000.
