The Virginia Department of Health adopts the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations on COVID-19 booster shots. Those include having those ages 12–17 to get a Pfize booster dose five months after finishing their two-dose primary series and that those 18 and older should get a Pfizer booster five months, rather than six months, after finishing their two-dose primary series. Those 5 to11 years old who are moderately or severely immunocompromised should get a third Pfizer dose 28 days after the second dose.
