VDH Ends Contact Tracing

The Virginia Department of Health ends contact tracing – the process of notifing individuals who may have come in contact with a person testing positive for COVID-19. VDH officials say the quick-speading omicron variant is overwhenming the ability to track single cases. Those testing positive are now asked to self-notify those who may have been in contact. Efforts are now being focused on COVID-19 congregate settings outbreaks, healthcare settings and other high-risk locations.
