The Virginia Department of Health will open more COVID-19 Community Testing Centers with an initial $5 million in funding. The new centers to be located near existing VDH vaccination centers will supplement numerous locally-coordinated Community Testing Events and use PCR tests which according to experts are the most reliable form of COVID-19 testing. VDH is also seeking FEMA funding to reimburse expenses and continue testing deployment.
