The Virginia Department of Health reports another child under the age of 10 died from COVID-19-related complications. It’s the eighth death of a child under the age of 10 since the department began recording data. The child lived in the Rappahannock Area Health District. Officials say the death reaffims that no age group is immune from COVID-19’s potential impacts and they stress the need for vaccines, boosters an mask wearing for those 2 and older in public spaces.
