The Virginia Department of Historic Resources reveals some of the items found in the time capsule that was under the former Robert E. Lee monument. They include silver coins, wood-made items, badges and 19th-century-era bullets. More than 50 books and paper items were also in the capsule. The department plans to release more updates on the capsule’s contents each week on its website.
