Virginia Delegate Proposes Abolishing Daylight Saving Time

A bill introduced in the House of Delegates proposes to do away with the annual switchover to daylight saving time. The measure keeps Virginia in the Eastern Standard time zone. Only Hawaii and Arizona plus 3 overseas U.S. terrorities do not move the clocks ahead an hour each spring. Even if the bill passes and is signed into law it will take an act of Congress to abolish daylight saving time.
