November was a big month for Virginia sports betting. According to the Virginia Lottery bettors wagered over $402 million which is the second-highest month since the inception of sports betting last year. More than $354 million was won. Through November bettors wagered a combined total of more than $2.7 billion on a wide variety of approved sporting events. 10 companies are licensed for sports betting and there is a 15% tax based on each permit holder’s adjusted gross revenue.
