A Winter Bird Hike is set for Saturday, Jan. 29 at Belle Island State Park. It takes place from 9:00 a.m. until noon. Join Friends of the Rappahannock and University of Mary Washington professor Andrew Dolby who will teach you all about winter birding habits along the Rappahannock River. Meet in the Visitor Center parking lot. A $5 parking fee applies. Mask wearing is encoraged. Registration is recommended but not required. Log on to riverfriends.org.
