GA Looking At Creating Fund To Help Mass Shooting Victims

The General Assembly will consider a bill to create a $10 million fund to help victims of mass shootings and similar attacks. According to the Virginian-Pilot the Mass Violence Care Fund will help with long-term physical and mental health costs not covered by insurance. The disbursements begin 3 years after an event and remain in perpetuity. The GA’s 2022 session ends March 12.
